Welcome back to the Serum Newsletter! In this 5th Edition, beyond the usual we will cover some of the latest developments in staking on Solana as we get ready for on-chain staking for SRM to go live.
Staking Developments
We’ve been making significant headway in getting on-chain staking live for Serum. Once it goes live, users will finally be able to stake their SRM without going through custodial services and participate in Serum governance. Below are some useful updated resources regarding lock-up and node registration:

With this UIs can be built for node registration and staking!
ProtoDao has built an open source Fantasy Football dApp on Solana with the following features:
- Create a League and set Entry Cost in $SOL
- Invite friends to join your League
- Snake-style draft selection
- Set a lineup for each week (8 players on bench + 8 in-play)
- Swap benched players with other players
- Scores are populated each week using the oracle (based on ESPN Scoring Rules)
- The winning team takes home the jackpot!
